Everyone is a walking encyclopaedia, sort of. While you may doubt that this is the case with you, a deep dive into your inner self and brain will quickly unearth a gem of information you probably were not aware of hours or minutes earlier.
You, as an individual, are gifted. Not all gifted talent in you results from your upbringing, genetics, or how smart you are. You learned many of these positive traits either through repetitive work, education, or simple observation.
These experiences or gained talent that you have put a personal stamp on making you unique in that area of vocation or profession you are currently engaged in.
It sometimes amazes me to see so many gifted individuals sitting on very important information or knowledge they have gained and not letting society reap the benefit of their craft.
I believe society will not applaud such selfishness. People shouldn’t go to their graves without letting the world know what they contributed to make the world a better–or even a worse–place.
It’s the reason years ago, people kept notes and diaries.
In these times and age, it’s so easy to keep notes on your professional journey, your work, its highs and lows, and how you help make society better.
People who have lots of good stuff and information to share these days do it on the Internet–on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
Their postings on these platforms tell their individual professional and business stories. These stories and the lessons they teach are instantly available to the world.
There are many others who choose to go the “old school” way of penning their contribution, expertise, knowledge in a book.
#Bookwriting, #bookpublishing and #bookmarketing are not what it used to be. Advances in technology have made all three areas of the book industry so simple it takes about 90 days to start, finish and market a book around the world.
It costs far less money to get your book published than what many people think. And you don’t need to carry cases of unsold books in your home or office. No inventory at all to worry about.
Very few forms of publicity for a business, professional individual, a tradesperson, etc. can rival the authority and credibility a #book brings to the author.
According to a recent survey, 81 per cent of Americans feel they have a book in them — and that they should write it. I presume a similar number of people in Western nations, including Australia, have this ambition as well.
So why don’t you forge ahead and get the book in your head out? You’ll be glad you did!
